Meet the Besties
This East and West Coast Duo met back in 2008 during Clark Atlanta University’s freshmen orientation. We were the last two standing during an ice breaker...We cliqued instantly. As soon as we found out that we both were hoping to live in CAU’s Suites, we darted there that next morning, signed up to be roommates and had been throughout our entire matriculation.
As roommates in college, we used to share our poems with one another. This was one of our many ways to bond. After graduating, our love for poetry and our ability to write in sync, inspired us to share our gift with others. Perhaps other people may have experienced what we have and can relate.
The rest is Our-Story!
Yanique, bka Yaya, has been writing poetry and doodling in notebooks since she was a little girl. While strangers viewed her as timid, those who knew her understood “timid” is not an adjective fitting to describe her at all. Yaya is full of the most random songs, expressive dances, and elaborate writings. It is through these realms that she finds comfort in self- expression and making those she love have a good time while with her. With LoveLoudd LLC, Yaya is excited to continue sharing poetry, visual art, & hot topic discussions on her & her bestie’s podcast, Truth Carpet.
Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Simoné aka Monie, first developed her love for poetry in grade 6. Her passion for writing and storytelling slowly grew into fan fiction stories, stage plays, and eventually screenplays. Writing has always been Simoné's creative outlet pulling inspiration from movies, books, music and even photographs. Ms. Loudd received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from Clark Atlanta University in 2012 and received her Master of Arts in Filmmaking in 2015 from New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, CA. She is currently a middle school film instructor striving to provide a creative opportunity she wasn't granted at a young age. LoveLoudd LLC is the icing on her visionary cake.
